June 13, 2012 was the big reveal day for Hexap, as ICANN unveiled the list of applicants for 1,930 new generic top-level domains.
As Hexap applied for a community-based TLD, we would like to thank our supports that endorsed our will to administrate the .med extension in compliance with the ethical standards demanded by the medical field online. Various organizations and companies have endorsed our .med application, which clearly underlines a strong need and demand for having an unambiguous platform for quality health care information, products and services. Relying on the experience and expertise of Hexap’s founders and predecessors in similar projects, which have been applauded by medical professionals, these organizations and companies have endorsed our plans for this new and unique name space that will not only serve the needs, requirements and demand from the targeted medical community, but also the need for patients to find reliable sources when seeking such information, products and services.
